Autumn olive (Elaeagnus umbellata) is a invasive bush or small tree taking over the landscape. You blink and 100 crop up out of nowhere. We have some obvious eradication work to do.
Here are pictures of the Shenandoah River flooding our fields. The normal flow runs behind the tree line, about 15 feet below. It hasn’t flooded this bad since the big snow blizzard of 1992.
